Charissa Brock, a natural-fibers artist since 1994, works and teaches out of her studio near Portland Oregon. She discovered bamboo as an art material in 1999, while earning her MFA at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. Her work has been featured in magazines and exhibited widely in the U.S. and is included in the Arizona State University Museum.

Pat Gold is a member of the Wasco tribe and an accomplished fiber artist and basket maker. She is a well known teacher whose work appears in museums and collections around the world. She won the Oregon Governor’s Art Award in 2001 and a National Endowment for the Arts Heritage Fellowship in 2007.
